Its not all about the winning!

There are lots of amazing stories from the Olympics and there are not all about winning. Derek Redmond has a great athlete had worked really to get to the Olympics. Derek got a lot of help from his coach, family and firends to prepare for the Olympics. He started running in the 400m final when he got an serious injury. He was determined to finish so he got up and kept on going. He couldn't do it by himself so his dad helped him across the line. He didn't win gold but everyone around the world watched his race and saw his bravery.

Healthy Eating

We are learning about what is in our food and why we need to eat.  Can you help your child keep a record of what they have eaten over one day. They will be coming home with a worksheet to fill in over the weekend and bring back to school next week for our topic lessons.

If you would like some ideas for some yummy meals, the BBC Goodfood website have great recipes for kids. Why not try some of these recipes out and let me Mr Prosser know how they tasted.

Maybe you have your own favourite recipe? Write it down and bring it in to school to share with the class.

Camp Meeting Thursday

Mrs Cowley and I are getting very excited about our trip to Kilve Court in July. There is a chance to find out more about where we are going and what we will be doing at a meeting afterschool on Thursday. The meeting will be in the Cedar Block straight afterschool this Thursday 26th April. It can be a little bit scary being away from home but it is an amazing holiday that everyone will love.

Hopefully see you there.
