A Child Like You

Tomorrow a page will be sent home from the book ‘Children Just Like Me’ that we have been looking at in class as part of our A Child Like Me project.
Next week we will be making our own page based on the format of this book. Please can you talk to your family about who is in your family, food, toys, clothes and home so you are ready to create your own page in class next week. We hope to produce a class book similar to ‘Children Just Like Me’.
If you want to bring in pictures or photos from home to use as part of your page, that would be most welcome.

We look forward to finding out all about you.

Meet the teacher

There will be a chance to meet with Mr Prosser and Ms Vargo to discuss what will be happening in Year 2. The meeting will be on Wednesday 12th September at 3pm in the Year 2 classrooms. It is a chance for you find out what we will be learning about this year, class routines, Maths/RWI groups and a chance to ask questions.

A CHILD LIKE ME

This term our topic will be 'A Child Like Me'. We will be learning about our bodies and our lives. We will be looking at what is the same and what is different about us all. We will be learning about the lives of other children from around the wordl and we will be talking about what makes each one of us special.

This topic is based around a book by UNICEF called Children Just Like Me, which looks at the lives of children in different countries around the world. Each child tells the reader about their family, where they live, what they eat, what they like etc.
