What Am I?

I have skin but I am not human.

If you squeeze me I will squirt you.

I am as big as a stone.

I am as round as a bubble or tennis ball.

I grow on a tree.

I am healthy and one of your 5-a-day.

You can eat me and drink my juice.

I am the colour of a carrot.

What am I?

Snow Day

Today the school is closed but that does not mean we are going to stop learning.

Today's lesson is to find out how high you can build a snowman.

You need to put on your coat and gloves, get outside and experiment with building in the snow. Mr Prosser is going to try this as well, can you build a snowman taller than Mr Prosser's?

Remember to wrap up warm and if you can take a picture, fantastic!

An Island Home

This term we will be looking at islands around the world. During this topic we will learn about islands in Scotland using the story of Katie Morag by Marie Hedderwick. Later in the term we will compare Bristol and Scotland with other islands like Japan.

Here are some of the questions we would like to find answers to ... can you help us?

  1. How do you make an Island?
  2. Did any islands survive World War 2?
  3. If you are on an island and you have run out of food, where do you go?
  4. What is the temperature on an Island?
  5. What language do you speak?
  6. What is the smallest island?
  7. How many islands are there in the whole world?
  8. Why is the sea salty?
If you know any of the answers or have an interesting fact about Islands then write it down and give it to Mr Prosser or Ms Vargo.

Which country are these flags from?
